It’s Going To Be A Colorful Day

Today is gone
Yesterday is here
To try not to pretend
Is much to obscure
I have to admit
I’m not here for long
I have to admit
I don’t know where I belong

I don’t know where I fit in

Funerals inspire
Solemn nature
Weddings make me want to cry
Aliens relish
In our futile battles
Peace makes you want to cry

I don’t know where I fit in

Psychosis
New and discreet
Once deluded
Now see clearly
The message I have come to say
Life is what you make it
Today is gone
Yesterday is here
Living in the past
Cause the present
Contains all of your fears

I don’t know where I fit in

You try to heap this guilt on me
The memory of the traitor, vivid
The life long story of the betrayed
All to be relived on this black-bound day

Do you know where I fit in?

Everyone knows the answer
They say, “Love is the way”
But does anyone know the question
That was asked on that black-bound day
I know that I’m alone
But that’s ok
Cause for every day that’s black-bound
Comes a white-filled day

I know where I fit in

Precocious is the child
Sagacious in every way
Everywhere that he goes
Is followed by a white-filled day
He alone knows the question
That tortures pretty young souls
And when you hear the question
It will resonate in your very bones
You may not believe me
When I do say
“Love” may be the answer
But that is not your way
My proof, is how you treat your brother
On this gray-unfulfilled day

Where do you fit in?
