The Liquid Lightening
The liquid lightening
Spreads through my body
It’s a poison and not of my own
Your life makes my own
Your death makes my own
It’s all a smile it’s all a game
Without any rules without any play
The liquid lightning
Oh how I use to enjoy
But now it’s turned
It’s gone sour
And destroys my body
In fast flashes of you
I am not here
I am not gone
Not that anyone has noticed
I feel like I’m a rock
No one cares about a rock
You need a champion
I need a hero
I want a life
You want a hero
The liquid lightening
It’s just chemical byproducts
This I do know and realize
But it still holds me to its own
It still has a life of its own
I’m a puppet
Can’t cross a river
All washed up
And I can’t even say
That my life sucks
It’s all a game
Why do I feel this way
I don’t care about you
I don’t care at all
But when you look at me
I feel flashes of that liquid lighting
Double ended sword
Coated with that poison
That outer enigma
That’s not mine
And surely not yours
But cupid’s arrow
Killing like a sword
